Zhiyuan Innovation Raises New Funding at $7B Valuation, IPO Suspended
According to investors, Chinese embodied AI unicorn Zhiyuan Innovation recently launched a new funding round of approximately 1 billion to 1.5 billion yuan (about $140–210 million). The round is nearing completion, valuing the company at around 50 billion yuan (about $7 billion). Meanwhile, the company's IPO process has been temporarily suspended. Founded by Peng Zhihui (known as 'Zhihui Jun') and others, Zhiyuan focuses on general-purpose humanoid robots and has previously secured multiple rounds of financing from prominent institutions. The new funding signals continued market confidence in its technology and commercialization path, while the IPO pause suggests a strategic shift toward private funding amid a burgeoning robotics investment boom in China. Zhiyuan is among a wave of Chinese startups racing to commercialize humanoid robots for industrial and service applications.
