A-Shares Close Higher as ChiNext Rebounds 4%, Robot Stocks Surge
Chinese equities closed higher after a session-wide rebound, with the ChiNext Index recovering from an early decline of more than 3% to finish up 4.16%. The Shanghai Composite rose 0.89% and the Shenzhen Component gained 2.79%, while turnover across the Shanghai, Shenzhen and Beijing markets topped 1.97 trillion yuan. More than 4,500 stocks advanced, far outnumbering decliners, in a sign of broad participation.
Robot-concept shares triggered a wave of limit-ups and became one of the session’s strongest themes. Unitree Technology hit its 20% daily cap and has gained more than 54% over the past six trading sessions, while more than 20 names including Wanxiang Qianchao, Fenglong and Daye sealed limit-up. Battery giant CATL climbed nearly 8%, helping lift the growth board and broader market sentiment.
Semiconductors rebounded, led by computing chips. CanSemi, Bright Power Semiconductor and Dagang Co. hit limit-up, while MetaX, Enflame and Moore Threads rose more than 10%. Brokerage and financial shares also rallied, with Hualin Securities, Huijin Technology and Dazhihui closing limit-up, adding to the risk-on tone.
The session’s pattern—an early dip followed by a broad afternoon recovery—suggested that buyers stepped in around lower levels, with gains spanning growth, technology and financial sectors. The strong breadth and heavy turnover underscored a recovery in risk appetite after the earlier pullback.
