AgiBot Launches World's First Full-Size Humanoid Smart Retail Cabin in Wuhan
AgiBot (Zhiyuan) has teamed up with Wuhan Tourism Group and Zhongyun Weixun to deploy its Expedition A3 Ultra full-size humanoid robot at the 'Jiangyu' bridge-pier film camp on Hankou Riverside in Wuhan. The partners describe the site as the world's first smart retail cabin operated by a full-size bipedal humanoid robot. Unlike a lab demonstration, the project puts the robot in a public-facing commercial environment to test retail service and visitor interaction. The companies say the deployment is meant to validate humanoid robot operations where cultural tourism and retail meet, generating data for future scale-up. The initiative is positioned as an early commercial test of humanoid robots in China's service sector. It also highlights growing efforts to move embodied AI from showcases into everyday urban settings. The number of robots, operating hours and commercial terms were not disclosed.
