Logistics Provider Expands Humanoid Robot Deployment to U.S. Warehouses
According to Leaderobot, a contract logistics services provider is expanding its partnership with a robotics company by deploying the same humanoid robot model at distribution centers in North Carolina and Tennessee. The earlier Georgia site, which handled inventory for a women’s apparel brand, moved more than 100,000 totes. That deployment showed the robot could carry out repetitive transfer work reliably in a live logistics environment. The new sites extend testing from a single apparel-focused facility to broader contract logistics operations. The companies did not disclose fleet size, launch timing, or performance metrics for the additional locations. Such repetitive tote handling is a common task in distribution centers, and reliable execution is a key benchmark for commercial adoption. The move points to growing interest in humanoid robots for warehouse roles that involve moving containers repeatedly, as operators seek automation that can handle everyday tasks in production settings.
