The second World Humanoid Robot Games will officially commence on August 22 at the National Speed Skating Oval in Beijing, a venue renowned as the 'Ice Ribbon' from the 2022 Winter Olympics. The main competition is scheduled to take place over five days, concluding on August 26.
Compared to the inaugural edition, this year's games have seen a comprehensive expansion in both the number of competitive events and participating teams. A total of 51 events encompassing 1,301 matches will be played, showcasing the latest capabilities of humanoid robots in various tasks.
The competition schedule has been strategically upgraded: from three days with six competition units in the first edition to five days with nine units this year. This significant growth underscores the rapid advancement of humanoid robotics and its increasing relevance in real-world applications. The games serve as a vital platform for international teams to demonstrate cutting-edge technology in motion control, artificial intelligence, and autonomous operation.
