China's Industrial Robot Production Surges 34.6% in August, NBS Reports
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released data on September 15 showing that China's industrial robot production increased by 34.6% year-on-year in August. This growth is part of a broader surge in the equipment manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing sectors. Other high-tech products also posted strong gains: 3D printing equipment output rose 29.9%, while lithium-ion battery production jumped 57.2%. NBS spokesperson Fu Linghui announced these figures at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office. Analysts say the data highlights the ongoing transformation of China's industrial economy towards automation and smart manufacturing. The robust performance of high-tech manufacturing has become a key driver of overall industrial growth. These numbers suggest that China's manufacturing upgrading is accelerating, with increased investment in technology and innovation.
