Pudong Embodied AI Firms Advance Multiple Tracks, Deploy Robots in Real-World Scenarios
A cohort of embodied AI companies based in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area is pursuing several robotics tracks simultaneously, with the aim of translating laboratory research into deployed systems. According to Leaderobot, these firms are pushing robots into factories, commercial settings and public spaces, creating a diverse landscape of real-world applications. The companies are not concentrated in a single use case; instead, they are developing capabilities across multiple segments and matching them to operational environments where embodied intelligence can be tested and refined. This multi-track approach reflects a broader shift in the sector: embodied AI is being evaluated less as a lab demonstration and more as a practical technology for production, service and public-facing tasks. The resulting deployments, Leaderobot says, form a varied industrial picture rather than a single flagship scenario.
