At the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Robot Conference, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology Xin Guobin announced that China's robotics industry continues its rapid expansion. In 2025, enterprises above designated size achieved revenue exceeding 300 billion yuan, representing a compound annual growth rate of over 20% in the past five years. For the first half of this year, revenue reached 165.5 billion yuan, up 24.5% year-on-year. These robust figures underscore the industry's vitality, driven by technological innovation, policy support, and increasing demand across sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare. Looking ahead, Xin said the ministry will promote the industry to concentrate on two key areas and four priority industries, aiming to strengthen core competitiveness and foster high-quality development in intelligent manufacturing. The ministry's strategy is expected to further consolidate China's position as a global leader in robotics.
