XPeng's Humanoid Robot Line Goes Live, First Unit Rolls Off Automatically

On September 8, XPeng's humanoid robot production line was officially activated. The world's first high-end general-purpose humanoid robot completed automated final assembly and independently walked off the line, marking a key transition from research and development to mass production.

This automated line, the first of its kind for high-end humanoid robots, is designed for large-scale manufacturing. Previously, robots were typically assembled in small batches with semi-manual processes, which limited scalability and consistency.

XPeng's new facility aims to change that by integrating automated assembly steps, reducing manual intervention, and enabling higher throughput. The successful off-line of the first unit demonstrates the line's readiness for serial production.

The company states that this milestone brings humanoid robots closer to practical, widespread deployment in industries and daily life. By standardizing production, XPeng intends to lower costs and accelerate adoption, potentially reshaping the robotics market.
