UBTECH's Liuzhou 10,000-Unit Factory Begins Production, One Humanoid Robot Every 10 Minutes
On September 12, the production launch ceremony for UBTECH's 10,000-unit industrial humanoid robot super smart factory was held in Liuzhou's Northern Ecological New District.
The factory is the world's first intelligent manufacturing benchmark for industrial humanoid robots with 10,000-unit capacity. It leverages an industrial simulation system for intelligent planning and a digital smart brain for global scheduling, implementing a "robots building robots" manufacturing model.
The production line is designed to roll off one robot every 10 minutes, with an annual planned capacity exceeding 10,000 units. UBTECH partnered with Siemens to create a dedicated digital manufacturing base for humanoid robots, addressing mass production pain points such as numerous parts, high transfer frequency, high assembly precision, and rapid product iteration.
The Walker S2 is a full-size industrial humanoid robot designed for smart manufacturing. It utilizes the iterative Group Brain Network 2.0 and carries Co-Agent, the world's first self-developed intelligent agent technology dedicated to an industrial humanoid robot body.
Standing 1.76 meters tall, Walker S2 can replicate human-like gait walking and fine manipulation. It integrates a fourth-generation industrial dexterous hand and bionic arm. The dexterous hand features a human-like size design, achieving sub-millimeter precision and tested durability of over 80,000 cycles.
The bionic arm uses a fully hollow structure with integrated wiring, supporting high-difficulty actions such as autonomous battery swapping. Walker S2 is the first in China to adopt a pure RGB binocular vision system for its head, with human-eye-like stereo perception that enhances adaptability to factory environments.
Its 52-degree-of-freedom bionic body, combined with the fourth-generation dexterous hand, can perform 15 kg load handling and ±162-degree waist rotation within a full space of 0 to 1.8 meters.
Walker S2 is equipped with UBTECH's self-developed industrial humanoid robot collaborative agent, Co-Agent. It integrates a multimodal reasoning large model, embodied interaction large model, skill-based small models, and human-like chain-of-thought technology, enabling closed-loop operations such as intent understanding, task planning, tool calling, and autonomous exception handling. The algorithm is continuously optimized through billion-level data accumulated from industrial training.
Walker S2 features a high-power, high-torque waist joint design and dynamic balance algorithms, allowing it to perform flexible ground touching, extreme squatting, and long-distance grabbing. It is the world's first to achieve autonomous battery swapping, with dual-battery simultaneous charging and discharging, standardized battery compartment quick swap, and dual-arm collaborative precise battery swap, enabling 24/7 uninterrupted operation.
The planned annual capacity of over 10,000 units represents a new magnitude in the humanoid robot industry. Previously, most companies produced between a few hundred and a few thousand units annually. A 10,000-unit capacity demands completely different supply chain management, quality control, and cost control.
The factory uses robots to build robots, applying self-developed embodied intelligence technology back to the production line, turning robots from end products into core production tools. If this logic works, mass production costs, delivery pace, and quality consistency will create significant gaps.
The Liuzhou factory's production takt of one unit every 10 minutes corresponds to an annual capacity ceiling of about 50,000 units, with actual output depending on order and supply chain matching.
UBTECH has fully entered a three-pronged development stage in industrial, commercial, and home consumption. The 10,000-unit factory provides capacity support for the implementation of these three scenarios.
