Doubao Cockpit Assistant Launches; Ditu Robotics Raises $400M Series C
On Sept. 17, Doubao and Volcano Engine jointly launched the Doubao Cockpit Assistant, an AI-native in-car assistant. The companies said it aims to be a cockpit AI partner that understands users, interacts naturally and warmly, and remains safe and reliable, capable of handling complex requests.
The first partner vehicle model is set to begin pre-sales soon. Separately, Ditu Robotics completed a $400 million Series C financing round, according to the headline. The two developments highlight ongoing investment and competition in automotive AI and embodied intelligence.
The assistant is positioned to move beyond basic voice commands, using AI to interpret nuanced needs in real time. Its debut reflects automakers’ growing push to differentiate vehicles through intelligent cockpit experiences.
