D-Robotics, founded in January 2024 as a spin-off of the Horizon Robotics AIoT team, provides the hardware and software foundation for robotics, built on its Sunrise intelligent computing chips and RDK robotics developer kits.

Key facts

Headquartered in Shenzhen with registered capital of RMB 630 million, the company is wholly owned by D-Robotics Holding Limited and led by CEO Wang Cong. It raised a US$100 million Series A in May 2025, US$120 million in Series B1 and US$150 million in Series B2 in March and April 2026 for a cumulative Series B of US$270 million, and a US$400 million Series C in September 2026.

Products & tech

The lineup combines Sunrise intelligent computing chips with RDK developer kits, spanning 5 TOPS to 560 TOPS, together with the RDK operating system, the RDK Studio development environment and the RDK NodeHub open-source application centre. The Sunrise S600, launched in November 2025, targets on-device embodied AI compute with 560 TOPS (INT8) from four BPU Nash cores, while the RDK S100 integrates perception inference and real-time motion control on one platform.

Market position

Cumulative Sunrise chip shipments passed 8 million units as of September 2026, and revenue in the first half of 2026 grew several times year over year. The Sunrise S600 has been adopted by more than 20 customers including TARS, Spirit AI, X Square Robot, UBTECH, PaXini Tech and the Beijing Innovation Center of Humanoid Robotics, with most projects in mass production. More than 500 universities and over 100,000 developers across more than 20 countries build robots on the platform.
