IDC: Global Home Cleaning Robot Shipments Rise 21.5% in Q2 2026

Global shipments of home cleaning robots reached about 11.205 million units in the second quarter of 2026, a 21.5% increase compared with the same period a year earlier, according to the latest tracking report from International Data Corporation (IDC).

Within that total, robot vacuum shipments accounted for 7.885 million units. Concentration among the leading vendors kept climbing, with the top three players cementing their grip on the category.

After a 36.6% surge in the first quarter, the market's overall growth returned to a more moderate pace in Q2. Even so, structural divergence across product lines widened noticeably, IDC's data shows.

The split was clearest by category. Robot mowers extended their high-growth run, while pool-cleaning robots entered their traditional peak season as summer set in across the Northern Hemisphere.

Read together, the figures suggest vendors can no longer rely on the vacuum segment alone. With the top tier entrenched, growth increasingly depends on newer lines such as mowing and pool cleaning, where competition is still taking shape.
