D-Robotics Closes $400M Series C as Sunrise S600 Shipments Ramp
On September 17, 2026, D-Robotics announced that it had closed a US$400 million Series C funding round, led by international asset manager Mirae Asset.
Strategic and institutional investors joined the round, including Meituan's strategic investment arm, government-backed platforms such as Hefei State Investment, Nanshan Venture New Investment, and Jingquan Capital, along with financial investors Cathay Capital, Huamei International Investment Group, GF Xinde, Beyond Moore, and the Xinchip Phase II Fund under Qihang Investment.
A long list of existing shareholders increased their positions, among them GL Ventures, 5Y Capital, Linear Capital, Huangpu River Capital, Vertex Growth (a Temasek company), Prosperity7, Hexuan Capital, Yunfeng Capital, Meituan Dragon Ball, Jiuyang Family Office, Dunhong Assets, Kailian Capital, BP Capital, Jiuhe Ventures, Chuxin Capital, Digital Future, and Gengxin Capital.
The round is intended to reinforce the company's position across the embodied intelligence stack as customer demand shifts from technology validation toward volume production.
The new capital is earmarked to broaden the Sunrise chip family across the full compute spectrum and to build a full-chain software platform spanning data collection, model training, simulation verification, and inference deployment.
Together, these efforts form a software-hardware integrated embodied AI infrastructure meant to serve development needs from mature robot categories to general-purpose humanoids, positioning the company to support an expected surge in robot product categories.
Commercial traction has accelerated alongside the funding. In the first half of 2026, D-Robotics' revenue grew several times year over year, while cumulative shipments of its Sunrise series chips passed 8 million units.
The embodied intelligence business has now entered a mass-production shipment phase, and the company says its integrated hardware-software infrastructure has been validated at scale.
Customer adoption is concentrated among leading players. Since its launch in November 2025, the Sunrise S600 — offering single-chip full-stack compute, high-reliability hardware design, and a cloud-edge development toolchain — has been adopted within six months by more than 20 leading customers, including Tashi Zhihang, Qianxun Intelligence, Xbot, Zhizai Wujie, UBTECH, PaXini Sensing, the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, Humanoid Robot (Shanghai) Co., and Xiaoyu Zhizao.
D-Robotics says its customer coverage in embodied intelligence now exceeds 50 percent, with Sunrise S600 deployments spanning humanoid robots, industrial wheeled platforms, 3C flexible operations, embodied foundation models, and full-modality perception. Most projects have reached mass-production shipment stages.
On the ecosystem side, the upgraded DGP Gravity Plan acts as an incubator for robotics scenarios and hit products, giving startups end-to-end support from product R&D and supply-chain sourcing to marketing and investor roadshows.
The program has served companies such as Lexiang Technology, Yinghansi, Qiuzhi Technology, Robot Party, Siboweishi, Langji Intelligence, Qingyu, Xunling Technology, Tiaoyue Technology, and Ola Wanxiang, covering 10 frontier tracks that include open-source humanoids, AI sports coaching, embodied models, AI imaging, and home companionship. Several of these products have become category-defining hits with scaled mass production.
D-Robotics has also built a growth pipeline spanning education incubation, maker empowerment, innovation acceleration, and industry pioneers. More than 500 small and mid-sized maker teams, over 500 schools, and more than 100,000 developers from 20-plus countries have used its platform to create hundreds of robot product forms that serve millions of users worldwide.
Incubated by Horizon Robotics, D-Robotics maintains close, all-round cooperation with Horizon as mutual strategic partners. The company says it will continue working with Horizon and ecosystem partners to use software-hardware integrated embodied AI infrastructure to move more robot products from innovation toward scaled adoption.
