China's Robot Rental Market Forecast to Surpass 10 Billion Yuan This Year
During the summer vacation, the robot rental market in China is experiencing a peak season, fueled by rising demand for shopping mall exhibitions, cultural tourism events, and family companionship. Popular robots are now booked for over 20 performances per month, according to industry reports. One company executive noted that rental orders have surged 30% year-on-year, with offerings expanding from entertainment robots to include combat robots, coffee-serving robots, and bartending robots.
Interestingly, daily rental prices for humanoid robots have dropped significantly, from around 8,000 yuan at the end of last year to 2,000–3,000 yuan in early this year. This price decline is likely to further stimulate market growth and broaden adoption across various sectors.
Data shows that as of April 2026, the number of robot rental-related enterprises nationwide reached 153,000, with 38,200 new registrations in 2025 alone, marking a year-on-year increase of 55.7%. Such rapid expansion underscores the sector's vitality and potential.
Industry analysts predict that the domestic robot rental market will exceed 10 billion yuan this year, reflecting strong momentum driven by both supply-side innovation and demand-side diversification.
