Unitree IPO Lottery Rate Falls to Just 3.8% of ChangXin's
Unitree Robotics, a well-known maker of humanoid and quadruped robots, announced its IPO subscription results on the evening of August 11. The company's online lottery rate was 0.01809759%, which is relatively low compared to this year's average among 93 newly listed stocks.
Specifically, the online rate placed Unitree at the lower end of the spectrum. The offline allocation ratio came in at 0.03341824%, ranking sixth among the 46 IPOs that offered offline subscriptions this year.
The benchmark for comparison is ChangXin Technology, which currently holds the highest online lottery rate of 0.47141739% among new stocks this year. Unitree's online rate is just 3.8% of ChangXin's, meaning less than 1/26.
For offline investors, Unitree's ratio is 19% of ChangXin's, which is under one-fifth. These sharp differences highlight Unitree's comparatively weak subscription demand.
Market analysts interpret the low lottery rates as a sign of cautious investor sentiment. While a low lottery rate can sometimes indicate oversubscription, here it suggests that the share supply was sufficient to cover demand, or that demand was simply not exuberant.
Despite this, Unitree's technological innovations in robotics may attract strategic investors. The subscription results reflect broader market conditions for tech IPOs in China this year. In the long run, Unitree's performance post-IPO will be crucial in determining investor confidence in the robotics sector.
