World Model Benchmarks Turn to Real Execution; Meituan Leads FAIRINO Round

Researchers from AgiBot, NVIDIA, Princeton, UT Austin and Toronto released WorldOracle, a benchmark that scores world models against trajectories actually executed on hardware instead of rendered video. In the same window, Meituan led a Series D for collaborative-robot maker FAIRINO, taking two consecutive rounds to roughly RMB 1 billion.

The change in scoring method carries more weight than any single result. Daxiao Robotics' ACE-Brain-0.6, a 9B model trained on about one million verifiable spatial-anchoring samples, beat OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra on six of eight grounding evaluations, which indicates that dense task-specific data still outweighs general capability at this parameter scale. WorldOracle drew the highest readership among tracked items, and that attention itself signals execution fidelity becoming the binding constraint on model claims.

Capital is concentrating in the layers beneath the model. AgiBot's participation in Xinji Wuxian's Pre-A round links a Tsinghua-affiliated RISC-V chip developer to a domestically controllable compute base, a hedge against export controls. Intel separately requested a conditional FCC exemption to keep foreign-made fab robots running on national-security grounds. Both moves show compute and equipment access being priced as supply risk rather than procurement detail.

Exit pressure is building in parallel. Geek+, Yunji Technology and Woan Robotics have accelerated Hong Kong filings since 2025, shifting investor scrutiny from narrative to realized commercialization. Nvidia's Jensen Huang disclosed planned investments in Agile Robots, Avelios, Mirelo and Reflex Aerospace, without amounts or stakes, which keeps strategic intent visible while leaving valuation undisclosed.

Two checkpoints follow. Watch whether execution-based benchmarks such as WorldOracle are adopted by model vendors as release criteria, a step that would reset comparison standards within roughly two quarters. Watch also whether the current simplification of dexterous hands, with fewer degrees of freedom and fewer sensors, appears as gross-margin improvement in the filings of the Hong Kong candidates.

WorldOracle Debuts First Real-Execution Benchmark for Action-Driven World Models

10-19 10:44

Researchers from AgiBot, NVIDIA, Princeton, UT Austin, and the University of Toronto have released WorldOracle, an action-driven benchmark that evaluates world models by comparing predicted videos with real robot execution. The platform is open for submissions and includes 335 real operation trajectories, about 40% of which contain failures or suboptimal actions.

Why it matters

AgiBot, NVIDIA, Princeton, UT Austin and Toronto researchers released WorldOracle, the first action-driven benchmark that scores world models against real executed trajectories rather than predicted videos alone, drawing the highest attention (PV 49) among all candidates.
