ShadowAI was founded in November 2022 as a national high-tech embodied intelligence enterprise centered on the application of "artificial intelligence + robotics" technology.

The company was founded by Tang Mu, who previously served as General Manager of Tencent CDC and Vice President of Xiaomi's Ecosystem Chain.

Using embodied intelligent robots as its core vehicle, ShadowAI has built four business segments: AI + commercial consumption, AI + smart mobility, AI + education and entertainment, and AI + smart home.

In the food service robotics sector, ShadowAI has deployed over 1,000 coffee robots globally, cumulatively producing more than 4 million cups of coffee.

In June 2026, ShadowAI released its first humanoid food service robot, the X1.
