Hubei Jingchu Humanoid Robot Co., Ltd. was founded in April 2025, developed by the team led by Academician Ding Han of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

The company focuses on the research, manufacturing, and commercialization of linear-drive humanoid robots.

The "Jingchu" robot achieved independent walking in December 2024, with its lower limbs powered by planetary roller screw drive technology, delivering 12,000N of thrust, an 8-hour battery life, and the ability to walk with a 50kg payload.

The company has launched four humanoid robots in the "Jingchu Family"—Jingchu 1, Jingchu 2, Jingchu Elf, and Jingchu Xiaochu—targeting four application scenarios: education and research, industrial manufacturing, commercial services, and home companionship.

80% of core components are "developed and manufactured in Hubei."
