Hitachi has built deep technological expertise in the robotics field, covering control and robotics R&D across sectors including industry, infrastructure, healthcare, mobility, and buildings.

In humanoid robotics, Hitachi has independently developed a humanoid robot equipped with its proprietary AI, with plans to introduce it at its own factories by fiscal 2027 to take over complex tasks such as electronic product wiring and installation from human workers.

In addition, Hitachi (China) Co., Ltd. has entered into a strategic partnership with UBTECH Robotics to jointly explore applications of humanoid robots in intelligent manufacturing scenarios.

Hitachi has also collaborated with UBTECH and Hitachi Elevator to conduct in-depth secondary development of humanoid robot applications at elevator manufacturing sites.
