In June 2025, Hexagon unveiled its first humanoid robot for industrial scenarios, AEON, at its flagship event Hexagon LIVE Global.

AEON adopts a "bipedal walking plus wheeled gliding" mode, equipped with 12 high-precision sensors and a movement speed exceeding 2 meters per second.

Unlike consumer-grade robots, AEON was anchored to industrial scenarios from the very start of its design, capable of performing measurement, mapping, and recording tasks with micron-level precision.

In 2026, Hexagon plans to collaborate with BMW Group to deploy AEON at BMW's Leipzig plant in Germany for tasks such as high-voltage battery assembly.
