RoboSense Joins NVIDIA HSB Ecosystem, Bridging Key Perception-Compute Link for Robots
RoboSense, a leading LiDAR company, announced that its digital LiDAR models E2 and EM4 have completed adaptation for NVIDIA's Holoscan Sensor Bridge (HSB), according to the company's announcement. This makes RoboSense the first LiDAR partner in the HSB ecosystem.
HSB is NVIDIA's high-speed sensor interface that enables low-latency data transfer from sensors to edge AI computing platforms. By adapting to HSB, RoboSense's LiDAR can stream high-precision 3D point cloud data directly to NVIDIA Jetson and other platforms, enabling real-time perception and decision-making for robots and autonomous systems. This seamless integration aims to reduce development time and improve system reliability. This direct data path eliminates bottlenecks and enhances overall system performance.
The adaptation follows RoboSense's prior integration with NVIDIA's Jetson, DRIVE, and Omniverse ecosystems. It deepens collaboration in real-time perception, AI computing, and simulation development, effectively connecting the critical 'perception-compute' pipeline. The collaboration underscores the importance of integrated solutions in embodied AI.
The partnership is expected to simplify sensor integration, lower development complexity, and accelerate the deployment of advanced robots and autonomous machines. It highlights the growing convergence of sensing and computing in the robotics industry. As a result, robots can achieve more efficient and accurate perception in dynamic environments.
